PARALEGAL SERVICES
Gagnon Legal Document Solutions provides professional, accurate, and affordable legal document preparation services for individuals, families, and small businesses throughout California. As a Registered Legal Document Assistant (LDA), I offer support with drafting and preparing legal documents across a wide range of areas, including family law, civil matters, divorce, child custody, restraining orders, probate, small claims, business filings, and more. My goal is to make the legal process more accessible by helping clients navigate required paperwork with clarity, efficiency, and confidence.
I am not an attorney, and therefore cannot provide legal advice, represent you in court, or select forms for you. However, I can assist with preparing the documents you request, organizing the required information, and ensuring your paperwork is completed accurately and professionally. At Gagnon Legal Document Solutions, I am committed to providing trustworthy, detail-oriented support that empowers clients to move forward through life’s most important legal processes.
APPEALS
As a Legal Document Assistant (LDA), I specialize in appellate support by handling the research and document preparation that makes or fails an appeal. Because appellate courts enforce rigid technical rules (margins, fonts, binding, word counts), I ensure your briefs, appendices, and addendums meet every formatting and filing requirement. I can also assist with legal research—locating statutes, case law, and citations—as well as compiling the record on appeal and preparing proofs of service for e-filing. My role is to manage the mechanical and procedural work so your case stays eligible for judicial review.
I am not an attorney, and I cannot give legal advice, choose your legal arguments, or represent you in court. What I can do is act as your dedicated legal scribe: you decide what to argue, and I handle how the paperwork is drafted, formatted, and filed correctly. This is especially valuable for pro se litigants or busy attorneys who need cost‑effective, precise preparation of appellate documents without the high hourly rates of a law firm.
UNLAWFUL DETAINER
As a Legal Document Assistant (LDA), I help landlords and property managers navigate California unlawful detainer actions by handling the complete paperwork and procedural timeline. From the initial 3-day notice to cure or quit, through the summons and complaint, all the way to the request for entry of default and writ of possession, I prepare every document required by California code. I also track strict court deadlines (including the response window, default timelines, and prejudgment claim periods) and conduct basic research on local court rules to ensure your filings are procedurally correct.
I cannot give legal advice, tell you whether to file an eviction, or represent you in court. What I can do is ensure your unlawful detainer paperwork is accurately drafted, served, and filed on time. My past success includes managing a full eviction case from notice through possession, allowing the client to focus on their property while I handled the forms, deadlines, and court filings. If you need an attorney for legal strategy or trial representation, I can refer you to one—but for document preparation, I am your efficient, cost-effective solution.
Expungement, dismissal, sealing, and certificate of rehabilitation)
As a Legal Document Assistant (LDA), I help individuals in California clear their criminal records through expungement (dismissal under Penal Code § 1203.4), sealing of arrest records, and reduction of felonies to misdemeanors. For eligible convictions, I prepare and file all required documents—including the petition for dismissal, proposed court orders, and proof of service to the prosecuting agency and probation department. I also research the specific eligibility requirements for each type of conviction (including probation completion, sentence terms, and waiting periods) and track all filing deadlines and court hearing procedures so nothing is missed.
I cannot give legal advice, determine whether you qualify for relief, or predict how a judge will rule. What I can do is handle the entire paperwork process so you can petition the court for a second chance. Whether you need an arrest record sealed, a conviction set aside, or a felony reduced to a misdemeanor, I provide the documentation and procedural support to make your application complete and court‑ready. This service can help remove barriers to employment, housing, and licensing—giving you a real opportunity to move forward with your life.
